Welcoming a new baby is a once-in-a-lifetime milestone, and as a full-service Ottawa photography studio, we design every maternity session to be a stress-free experience from start to finish. We guide you through every step — from planning and wardrobe styling to professional hair and makeup, guided posing, and a personalized ordering appointment.

Where are you located?

Our spacious and elegant studio is located in Manotick in south Ottawa. It’s designed to provide a comfortable, private, and luxurious setting for your maternity portrait experience.

What makes your maternity sessions unique?

We offer a full-service pampered maternity experience with unlimited access to a stunning collection of couture gowns for ladies, matching dresses for girls, and handsome outfits for boys. You can see the entire collection here in the Ladies Gown Collection here. During your wardrobe and planning appointment, you’ll be able to select the gowns you love most to create your dream look.

Do you provide hair and makeup?

Yes! Professional hair and makeup are complimentary with your session. You’ll be pampered and styled to perfection so you can truly feel like a goddess during your photo shoot.

What if I don’t feel photogenic?

You are not alone — often clients feel this way during pregnancy! Don't worry, we are here every step of the way and provide posing guidance from head to toe and professional styling so you feel confident, comfortable, and absolutely radiant. We also provide master retouching at no additional charge, which includes custom Photoshop enhancements tailored to your preferences. Common requests include gentle arm slimming, softening or removing a double chin, smoothing skin, and refining small details, all while keeping you looking natural and beautifully like yourself.

Can my family be included in the session?

Absolutely! We would be honoured to capture not only your beautiful baby bump but also the love, connection, and excitement shared with your partner and family. We take the stress out of figuring out what to wear, as you will have full access to our collection of girl's dresses and boys outfits seen here.

Do you offer indoor and outdoor maternity sessions in Ottawa?

Yes! We offer both indoor studio and outdoor maternity sessions, and you can do both on the same date for no additional charge. This gives you the best of both worlds — a luxury studio experience with professional styling, along with the beautiful natural backdrop of the outdoors. Many of our clients love combining both options to create a diverse gallery that feels elegant, timeless, and organic.

How long does the session last?

Here are Robin Lea Photography Studio, we don't put a cap on the session length to ensure you have a relaxed and enjoyable experience. On average, hair and makeup lasts 1 hour followed by 1.5 to 2 hours of session time, allowing time for outfit changes, different setups, and breaks in between to put your feet up! If you opt for an outdoor location too, we break for supper and meet at one of my favourite dreamy locations in time for a gorgeous sunset session.

When is the best time to schedule the photo shoot?

Maternity sessions typically take place between 29–32 weeks. This is when your baby bump is beautifully visible, and you’re still feeling comfortable enough to fully enjoy the experience.

When should I reach out to book my maternity session?

It’s recommended to pre-book your session during your second trimester to guarantee availability.

Do you accept last-minute bookings?

We understand how much expecting parents are juggling, and maternity photos can sometimes get pushed down the list. If you’re booking later than planned, don’t worry — reach out and we’ll do our best to accommodate!

Do you offer maternity and newborn packages?

Yes, maternity and newborn combo specials are available. We specialize in newborn portraits and have been working with babies for over 10 years. Be sure to ask about the Baby Plan too, which offers an incredible bundled package that includes maternity, newborn, baby milestone, and 1st birthday cake smash session.

What products do you offer?

Along with high resolution digitals, we specialise in heirloom-quality albums, framed wall art, and folio boxes of fine art prints designed to beautifully showcase your images in your home.
